Provides low income elderly and disabled San Franciscan’s free light home repair and modification services designed to allow them to live more safely and more independently. Services provided include installing/replacing smoke detectors, and installing grab bars and other bathroom safety equipment, such as raised toilet seats and shower chairs. Once an application is received, it can take up to 1-3 months to receive services because most of our work is done by volunteers.

Everyone is welcome. No charge for the items we give away. We do not rent, sell or loan equipment. We almost always have: canes, commodes, shower chairs, crutches, standard two-wheeled walkers, toilet risers, cushions, blood pressure monitors, diabetic test equipment, nebulizers, CPAP, BiPAP, occupational therapy supplies like sock aids and dressing sticks, ice machines, briefs, gauze, cleansers. You are asked to sign a liability waiver when you receive equipment from us. The equipment is yours to do with as you wish however, we ask you not to sell it. Give it away or re-donate it to our program when you no longer need it. We do not deliver-call if situation is exceptional.
